We all heard of Leonardo Da Vinci love for his Mona Lisa. After creating the painting he never delivered it to his client who requested it, Francesco del Giocondo. He spent more than four years on the painting and carried it with him everywhere he went for the remainder of his life..
Now i have not spend four years creating this painting but i carry it every where i go. I is always in close proximity of me. I have painted this peice around three years ago and for some reason i have weird attachment to it
so here is my Mona..
Love,

As we enter this holy month and engulfing ourselves in prayers. I have found this opportunity to create this four piece painting called "The Road to Mecca."
This piece shows the journey of faith seeking, illustrated as golden silhouette, as they cross the path of forgiveness.
Hope you enjoy them,

As i was surfing the most loved online shopping website (net-a-porter.com) i happened to stumble upon a ring.
Not any ring! a ring which looks exactly like the ring i created in my jewelry making course!
and to my astonishment it costs a whopping 275$ (990dhs), mine cost about 250dhs.
So dear readers should i start filing a law suit against Mr. Maison?

I am proud to tell you all that I am done with not one, not two but three paintings all in one day! Countless weeks of blogging, and brainstorming in quest of getting inspired all failed. And now I find out all I needed was a good old Pilates workout with my personal instructor Marissa (love her!) and a warm bath to get my artistic juices flowing.
Closer look at the paintings:
After I was done with my tri-success-paintings, I kid you not my husband took a look at them and stole the blue one to hang it on his office (he couldn’t even wait for the paint to dry!)
On a different note, my three stars ring that I made is finally done, it’s silve but gold-plated!
19 paintings left to go!
Wish me luck I really do need it.

So I was playing around with paint the other day and I was hoping to create a splash effect, but not any flat splash effect I want it to look like it was a "perfect splash" (if it does exist) and not look all flat..
This made me think of adding a medium it could be gloss or whatever. So what I did was not actually mix the medium with the paint but pour the medium on top of the canvas then put the paint on it and move it around.
I tried gloss as the medium but it didn’t really work (See left side of the photo) it basically left an ugly tint of yellowish white, which my sister F said looked like barf lol!
So I tried varnish, for people who aren’t into art, varnish is used when the painting is done, but I decided to break the rules and use it now, because I want to! So I poured the varnish and then added white paint on top of the canvas and vowalaaaa it worked! When it dried off the varnish became transparent and the paint inside it look amazing and with a sense of depth! (see right side of the photo)
Now that I have tried this out I shall start working on the concept of the painting I have it in my mind I just need to sketch it out.
Update: I am nearly finished with the painting i was working on! hopefully by today it shall be done~ :)

Hey everyone,
I’ve realized my followers have increased and I want to thank all of you for your wonderful support! I also want to apologize for not posting since like forever! But I was on my vacation at Mauritius Island! Of course it was fabulous! It was a very exciting trip we parasailed, quad-biked, horse ride, and even went on a submarine, so much fun! It’s such a special place and I think everyone should go there, the people are so exotic and interesting most of them speak from 4 to 5 languages (English, French, Mauritian, Urdu, and Arabic)
Random information about Mauritius Island:
* Uninhabited until the 17th century, the island was ruled first by the Dutch and then by the French after the Dutch abandoned it. The British took control during the Napoleonic Wars and Mauritius became independent from the UK in 1968.
* The island of Mauritius is renowned for having been the only known home of the dodo. First sighted by Europeans around 1600 on Mauritius, the dodo became extinct less than eighty years later.
Anyways hope you enjoy my shots of this beautiful heaven on earth! I’ll be posting about my art adventure very soon..

For years I’ve been lusting over this big canvas sold at an Art store I’ve faithfully been going to for the past 2 and a half years. It’s the biggest and whitest canvas in the store, it’s very glorious I tell you! I always wanted it, but never got the guts to buy it, because buying it meant I had to turn it to a masterful piece of art!
But as I started this project (of finishing 23 paintings) I decided that I might as well reward myself for my commitment and go ahead and get that amazing big canvas! But oh no! Due to my lack of fortune, the big canvas has been already sold to some guy called Ali! I couldn’t believe it, my beloved canvas that has been waiting for me all these years is now someone else’s beloved canvas.
I was going to burst into tears right on the spot, but I pulled my tears back and bought the second biggest canvas in the store. As you can see from the picture below it’s (150x100), to feel more content with myself I bought three of them. Yes I am quite damn happy right now.

To some people abstract paintings are meaningless, just splatters of random colors on a piece of canvas. To me, abstract paintings are a way to express my self (cliché I know, but I’m serious) the colors I use are the colors of my life, the lines, brush stains all show my mental thinking.
I honestly think that the paintings I paint when I’m happy are more delightful than the ones I paint when let’s say I’m angry.
Anyways, here’s an abstract painting I’ve been working on, I’m loving the style of it and the effects. This painting is literally the product of my anger, funny how a person’s best work appears when they’re angry or sad. Don’t you think?

Dear Readers,
I was in a painting mood and was ready to work on the second painting. Got out several small canvas and started to work! worked on the background for several days (waited for the paint to dry to create an effect with alcohol to give a dissolved effect)
Result. HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT. can i say hate it one more time? yes Hate it.
Conclusion. Painting on a small canvas is to constricting for me. should never paint in small canvases period.

As a child looking though a magazine, i always wished to be able to click on the object of my desire and get it delivered to my door step. And here you come into my life Amazon and do exactly that (However the wish was that it would be free of charge, but no worries we are working on it).
Thank you for the most amazing books about art! i'm currently reading Painting Abstracts by Rolina Van Vliet. It has truly inspired me and gave me the push i needed towards abstract art. And i must admit the occasional regency romance book does help lighten up your mood. I hope our friendship grow and prosper.
Your loyal friend,
A.

And got the shock of my life.
It’s a big bad world out there and I don’t seem to fit in it in any way.
Lost as I am. A year has passed from university life and I’m being very kind when I say I was clueless.
I loved making my the images in my head into drawings.
As I grew older my skill developed and family and friends seem to push me towards that field.
I didn’t want to study art (till this day I not quite sure why) and went into a different field of study.
Now graduated I feel that I hate the major I studied and quite lost in what I’m suppose to do with my life.
Here comes art that I have left in the back burner not giving it the light of day.
So I have decided (after severe nagging by my sister) to do this challenge.
Create 23 paintings before my 23rd birthday.
Who knows I might be able to turn my hobby into my career?
So;
I pledge to follow through this challenge not for anyone, but for me and for once stick to something to the end.
